Message It is a great disservice (deliberte for sure) that the car industry does to us making the rear quater panels part of the welded body structure. As I'm sure you know, crash damge is irreparable. Yes the metal can be bumped out but all wrinkles and stretchings will remain under a layer of filler that restores the surface. Cutting out the panel to correct partial bending and crushing is a bear, even if the car is on a rotisserie.

I love this hobby but I stay clear of body work and paint. This kind of work is never quite like an undamaged car sporting its factory spot welds. The finsh is thick, chips easily and the sun will fade it sooner than later.

If its a track car bump it out and go race. If its a hobby driver get a new body.
